Identity Crisis

I've been struggling with my office for awhile now. This is not my office at home but at our business. I tried to go kinda "Junk Cottage" awhile back, but it is just not working for me.

I'm kinda stuck with modern-ish furniture, and of course those beautiful office machines that everyone depends on to actually get things done.

You can't see it in this pic, but just below this shelf is a printer, to the left of that the monitor/keyboard, and then other office machines next to that.

And of course wonderful filing cabinets, postage machine, and copy machine.
So I've decided if you can't beat em, join em.
I'm changing it all to "Vintage Industrial Office Junk Chic" .

I did this gear wall art a few months ago, and I love it. I've also got a small collection of old office products that I'll be using. I have a few other ideas too.
I'm thinking anything Metal, Old, Industrial, etc. so
Watch for Industrial Junk projects forthcoming...
And if you have any ideas, send them to me. I'm gonna have fun with this.

Weekend finds, and Santos Hands

I found a few goodies this weekend.

Old metal tool box with drawers, White garden pot holders (will be repurposed)
Red Locker Basket, and a great old Santa Plush Doll.

And also this garden wire planter stand

I haven't decided If I'm gonna sell or keep this tool box.

Doesn't santa have a cute face

Not a great haul, but First Monday is just around the corner (next weekend) Can't wait for my junk fix.

A few weeks ago I posted a picture of some Santos Hands that I had found. Several people commented and called me about these hands and I had already decided to keep them. But----I found some in a catalog and thought I'd share it with you.

This is out of the Ballard Designs Catalog. They are a bit pricey, but I thought I'd pass it on if you are interested.
I also found some at this web site, but no price is listed.
Have a great week

No PackRats were harmed in the making of this blog post

The PackRat Saga Continues

In case you've missed my PackRat story please see this post first.
I was out rummaging around in the Barn again tonight and I uncovered 3 more small nests in some stored hanging baskets. You know those plastic green kind. I found all kinds of things but what was interesting is that in the bottom of each basket, there were inches and inches of acorn shells. Then on top of that would be the "good stuff" and lots of shreaded paper towels, no critters though. I carefully dumped each nest out, and looking as I went for my missing objects.

I found all my missing bottle caps, and that piece of wood trim to repair the coffee table. And the best thing I found were these Bike Brake pedals still in their package.
Now I know I wasn't loosing my mind when I mis-placed those bottle caps and I'm so happy I found that piece of trim.
Can't wait to see what turns up next. :)
