First I wanted to show you what Tamara Gifted me, all the way from Australia. Those are cricket balls and some toy double deckers. I was doing the happy dance.

One of my fav finds were these old greyhound glasses. Still in box never used. I love anything greyhound. I'll be selling them for 9.50 ea if anyone is interested I have over 18 of them, all the same.


I'm a sucker for old toys.

I found a bunch of these old olive baskets, like in my post before. Will be offering them on Etsy soon.


And some Lovely galvanized fretwork patterns.

It was a good haul. I got off to a slow start but once I got going I was on a roll.

Prayer Request, A Friend, Picker and Dealer of mine needs your prayers. Some of you May know Liz Caudle from the early days of Winnie & Tulula's and also the Hunt Co Flea Market. Liz's new husband, Lin had a massive stroke and is in ICU. They need your prayers. Will update as I have news.

My Table is Missing...

Someone Bought my display table, What's a girl to do?

When I got to Winnie & Tulula's today to re-fluff my booth spaces, I was pleasantly surprised to see a table gone... but then what to do?????


A quick look around offered me the solution. I took 3 bar stools and placed my old porch swing on top. Perfect!!!!

Festooned with card file drawers and vintage documents.
Just the change needed in my booth.

I'm off to Round Top for a few days. Will be meeting up with Tamara and also picking up a few things a Dealer is bringing to me from the Bonanza.

Friends-Junk Bonanza Photo Essay #3

Every year I go to the Bonanza I add to my "friends" list. I enjoy meeting new people who "get it" and catching up with old friends. Above was a rare moment when I caught Ki not running from place to place. Ki is such a sweet and "real" person. Every time she passed me in the hallways, no matter how busy she was she'd say "hi". On the far right is Kim Yeager. Kim and I have been working together on the blog for a few months now, but had never actually met.
The first thing she said to me was "you've got an accent" :)
This is Taylor (Ki's daughter) and Karla (Ki's sister) and the brawn behind the Junk Revolution store. I told them I needed a new picture. Did you know that Taylor has been in several TV shows including an episode of CSI (she was the victim). Karla makes lots of the fabric projects you've seen through the years. She's a sewer extraordinaire.



My new friends this year would be Martha (captain of my Etsy team) and her friends, Val, MaryEllen, and Kathy. They drove from Chicago for their very first Bonanza experience. I had fun hanging with them and showing Them around. Such a fun group of gals.

Another of my Etsy Team members lives right there in Shakopee Minnesota and was having a fabulous junk/garage sale which was stop #1 on day 2. You can see her there on the right with Martha in the middle. Love my new fallout shelter sign. Do I remember her name? No I'm sorry, but her store is ionesattic,. I loved meeting her mother as well, Ione, who has been in the junking business for 50 years or so. She was so sweet and handed out autographed pictures of herself. Notice the lovely dress form in the middle and all of her glitz and glamor.

Of course I love catching up with my Bonanza buddies from years past.

My obsession with Orla Kiely

Some of you may remember my fascination with this bag when I saw it in a magazine in 2010. I sent out the alert and you were very quick to let me know it was an Orla Kiely bag. Upon more investigation though I realized it was way out of my price range.

Robelyn over at Red neck chic was kind enough to use her little swatch of Orla fabric to make me my own red neck bag which I proudly carried last Fall.


This bag is still a favorite of mine



While visiting Hunt and Gather last week I spied these fabulous Oilcloth bags and pouches. I got the whole set and thought I had finally conquered my Orla Kiely obsession.I was feeling quite good and then... while meeting my uncle at a favorite restaurant of his, I Spied it...

The Fake I've been waiting for. I could not grab it fast enough and the price was reasonable (for a handbag that is). So out came the plastic and this beauty is now mine.
I just love it and I still love my oil cloth bags and pouches as well, You can say my world is colored Orla now, and I'm a happy girl.
