You might say that you've known that for awhile, but as for me. I've never really been one to sift through the hidden boxes and piles of junk that hold countless treasures.
But that went away today. My DH came home and told me he had heard about a new junk store and he wanted to take me right then. So off we go to this mystery place.
She had a store front and 2 storage areas behind. I asked about the storage areas and she let us in. As we were looking at the huge pile of stuff, in this un-airconditioned area of the store, my wonderful DH said, I think "i see a basket you'd like". Now in case you don't know, I'm a longaberger nut. So I took a look and low-and-behold it looked like a Longaberger, sitting right on top of this pile of stuff, but in the middle. So up I go, treking up the junk mountain in my sandals.
Well I did step on a framed picture and broke the glass but thankfully my foot remained in tact. As I got closer my heart began doing the happy dance as I realized that it was, in fact, a Longaberger gathering basket in good condition. It was not priced and so I went out to the owner and asked about it and a few other items. The price she quoted was 50 cents. Needless to say I grabbed it, and a hand mirror and an old train case. I'll be going back, she has a wonderful junk place, but next time, I'll take my hiking boots.

HA! You are hilarious! And what a deal on that basket! She surely did not know what she had. Looks like a great place to junk and the prices are right! And what a hubby you have! You have trained him right! :)
(That is my post - I didn't mean to hit the "anonymous" button - this is Debbie P. from Columbus, OH.)
Hey Margo, funny I was thinking about you and got side tracked by a phone call. I was wondering if you had made it to Canton and realized you were probably out of town. You're right it was hot there, but oh well, you know how us die hard junkies are... not even the heat keeps us away. Hope you finds lots tomorrow at sales and so do I, we're headed out early in the am. Have a good weekend!
Good for you! Sounds like you hit the Mother Lode! And yes, by all means, sounds like you need to wear protective clothing when you go back!

You crack me up. You are a really good, and talented junker, not just a junker.
Glad you found what you like!!
