Day 1

This is a pic my DH took of the first wave. These are serious shoppers and the looks on their faces say as much. Common people, smile...

25 people in line when I opened up. Some did a quick walk through and off they went, Others bought stuff. Then I had a steady trickle all day, Met some nice people and one fellow blogger. It started raining at 2:00 and everything got wet, but people were still coming, can you believe it.

this is me with fellow blogger Tina, Stitchin in Texas

It is funny, people buy what you don't think will sell, and don't buy what you do think will sell. I have a lot of furniture left, anything over 30.00 really didn't sell. I did have one lady who was thrilled to get one of my creations from her mother as a Birthday gift. It helps to go sale-ing with your mom:) Everyone was very nice, and I had a good time. I'm rested and ready for tomorrow, There is still a lot left, and I'm ready to deal.

Hi Margo,
Wouldn't you know it would rain?
Glad it went OK. Hope it goes well tomorrow and no rain.

Darn it all, I was really worrying about you with rain from Humberto today, it was cloudy and drizzling all the way over here in Dallas. Here's to sunshine and 80's tomorrow for you! (A girl can dream, right!) Still hoping to get there on Saturday myself :)

Are you kidding? I would've cleaned you out! Desks for $75? I'm selling my similar one for twice that and would've bought nearly everything! Margo, chalk it up to rain, Thursday, whatever. You'll do fine this weekend. I think it's more about people not being accustomed to an early sale.

Let us know how it turns out. XOX

You should have a yearly or semi-yearly sale and as the word gets out about your stuff, you'll have more & more customers who appreciate the T2T stuff, etc. Hope day 2 is even better!

Hey Margo! It was great to meet you yesterday!
Sorry to hear it rained on you - I was worried about that when I came out of Hobby Lobby and it was starting to rain on that side of town - it was looking really dark back your way.
Hope today goes well for ya.
ps - you could have warned us old, chubby folks about that uphill climb! LOL
