Christmas T2T begins
I had purchased an old sled during the summer for $6.00 and it's been sitting in my barn just waiting for Christmas. I almost forgot about it. Also I'd gotten this idea for a wreath last year that was in my idea book, I've had my eye out for old ice skates all year, I found these for $2.00 in the Summer. Then I took an old tired wreath I had in my "worn out christmas stash". Fluffed it up, glued some picks that I had in a box, added the skates, and then mounted the whole thing on the sled. right now it sits beside my side entrance (the one we all use). It's a little lonely at the moment but I'm getting to Christmas Slowly this year.

This is so pretty, such a nice compliment to the front of a house to welcome friends and for such a great price.
I love it, too! She just fluffed up an old, tired wreath. Hmph. Wish I could just fluff up an old tired wreath and have it look good like that.

Love the sled! I have a similar one and the best part is that it cost me nothing! Several years go my mom and I pulled the sled and skates out of her garage (I think they both used to be my dad's). Then we dug through the "mitten barrel" in the house and came up with an old scarf and gloves. She always has greenery and such around because she is a florist. So, she just went to work and decorated the sled for me. It is probably my favorite holiday decoration.

That is terrific! It would cost anywhere from $50 to $75 around here! You're amazing...now I'm officially looking for an old pair of skates. (I've got the sled and an old wreath. :))

Hey there, Kiddo! Love that look! The contrast of the colors is so cheerful! A friend of mine bought the old skates that I painted white and set them in the middle of a huge wreath, then sold the piece in her shop the same day! I'm starting to believe that EVERYTHING can be reused. ;-)
