A couple of strange items

I picked up these two strange items for the crystals only.

We'll call the first one a lamp thingy, and the second are sconces.

Well after removing all the crystals and giving them a GOOD bath I have this wonderful pile

Look for projects with crystals in the near future.
But for now I'm left with this unique item.

It looks to have been part of a lamp at one time. It is solid, and heavy iron. My mind is buzzing with ways to use it. I'm thinking of something for the holidays. Do ya'll have any ideas???

In case you are wondering I'm thinking of giving the sconces to a friend, I know she could use them for a project in her T2T world.
Happy Weekend, and good hunting to you all.

I have no idea what to do with you 'leftover' but what a lovely pile of shiny crystals!

Oh yes, Margo - something definitely for the holidays. It almost has the form of a Christmas tree - all it needs is to be 'blinged' out!

OK. I'm going to forgive you this once. But only this once. LOL The lamp thing, OK, but the sconces? I'd have wanted them just as they are. I actually have a pair almost just like those, only larger and with three candles. But seriously, I find myself buying things just for the crystals, too if the price is right. I know you'll come up with something cool with the lamp thing. I think it somehow looks Christmassy, too.

I think the lamp thing would look great in a Japanese-type garden setting. It doesn't look Christmasy to me at all.

Hi Margo,
I love the pile of crystals. You can never have too many of those.
As to what to do with that thingy.
It kind of is a Christmas tree shape already. Add some greenery, and decorations. It will look cute sitting on a table.
Have fun,
Rosemary

Margo, the sconces I would put them outside and let them rust and use them on an outside wall for candlelight dinners on the patio. Or they could be painted and used outside, I love candle sconces for outside!

I too think the lamp thingy looks like a christmas tree, perhaps done in a way that after the holidays it could be stripped down and used as a garden ornament.

Margo - I love the sun-catchers with the door locks - would love to have one of those. Are they on your etsy store or ebay? I like the white one. You are so creative! Vickie
