It's cold outside

I hate it when this happens. I had a nice long post and somehow i deleted most of it. So here is my re-creation of this literary masterpiece that is forever lost in cyberspace.

Sorry that I haven't posted any news or projects in a few days, but It's too cold outside to work. So I'll post someone elses project.

Don't you just love the colors and chippiness of these doors used as headboards. I saw this display at the last First Monday sale.

I've been asked to share the projects that I've done with things I've found. Specifically the stuff in the last post. Well I tried my hand at mosaic and I've decided it is not for me. I'm sure I'll find other uses for the broken china and I'll share the rest with Linda. I now have a respect for what linda does with mosaic and her work is fantastic. If you haven't seen linda's stuff be sure to click over, from my favorites section, there on the left.

I like to keep glass knobs and finials at the ready, these will be used in projects not yet conceived. The redware plate, has been glued back together and will find it's way onto my every growing plate/valance collage. The old metal stuff will probably be worked into various projects, and jewelry as will some of the gears. I'm selling off some of the gears on Ebay to pay for more projects.

I've been given some space at a local antique mall on consignment and I spent the afternoon fixing it up with my wares. I forgot my camera but will get you all a pic tomorrow. I'm excited about this new venture. I'm also excited that one of my china valances sold last week on Ebay and had quite a bit of interest. I've listed another to see how it does.

Everyone stay warm, you northern climate folks have my sympathies.
Margo

Margo,
That is great your china valance sold on ebay....good for you.
Oh my goodness you are giving up on the mosaic already.... it is time consuming and hard work... I guess you have so many other projects that keep you way too busy as it is... I know where can get rid of all those broke dishes you bought....tehehe
Linda
PS You are so right BRRRRRR

Yes ma'am it is cold outside! I haven't been able to keep warm inside either.
Which antique mall are you setting up shop in?
I'm going to be that way either Thursday or Friday - are you super busy or would you like to have lunch somewhere? Mineola?

Can't wait to see your consignment vignettes! Talk about cold! I think I'd love your weather - yesterday in Ohio it got up to 15! Today was a heat wave at 28! :)

Margo, yes it's been nasty wet-cold. My toes have not gotten warm in days. This dreary weather is depressing me. I need some sunshine & flowers & grass. Can't wait for spring! Vickie

I love the headboard..the bed looks delicious! Congrat's on your artsy selling space. I used to have a space and love the creativity it gave me. Good luck and stay warm...it as -2 this morning here in SLC. I have to go out, but I'm trying to postpone it.

Margo, while you're in Canton check out my friend Linda's space of Willow Nest. She's in Arbor I, I think, all those arbors run together. She's by the booth they call Hinze57 and beside the girls that sell linen clothes. She's got really cool stuff. Tell her I sent you, T
