Living in the Roses

I am so fortunate to live in the Rose Capital of the Nation , and therefore able to buy roses on almost every street corner for $2.50 a dozen. These aren't the nice long stem roses you'd see at the florist but they are pretty, and you can't beat the price. I finally got into our attic and my DH's old chemistry stuff and grabbed 6 test tubes for this project. I simply hot glued them at the angle to an old rubber stamp holder, and added the flowers. For July 4th I'm going to put little flags in each tube. This was a really fun and easy project, which is all I had time for this week.

You could let the test tubes hang naturally as Joy has done in the picture below.

Have a great weekend.

Margo

What a great deal...roses here in the Midwest are so expensive, I would love to pay $2.50 a dozen. That's a great idea with the test tubes...I'll have to dig around here for some of those!!!

$2.50 a dozen. Wow. Here in Colorado it's $20 if a dime. Very lucky indeed!
