Some of you may know and some of you may not know, but the December issue of Country Home will be the last with Cool Junk column produced by Ki Nassauer. I guess Country Home thinks they can do it without her. I for one will be extremely sad to not have her column in each issue. When I get my CH in the mail, I always turn to the Cool Junk Column first, to see what great new idea she's got for our junk. I really don't know what they are thinking over there at CH. Ki's column was one of the only reasons I subscribed to this mag.
She's going out with a bang though, I looooooove her Christmas projects in this issue, and she's got a full 2 pages. However, you wouldn't know it was by her, unless you look in the fold, and there in tiny tiny letters are the credits for December's Cool Junk Column. Maybe CH is trying to phase her out slowly, but this seems a like a big snub.
I propose a letter writing campaign.
If you want Ki back at CH for more Cool Junk with the touch only Ki can add, please write to Country Home and tell them how you feel.
The email is luann@countryhome.com or via mail Country Home 1716 Locust St, Des Moines, IA 50309-3023.
Let's bombard them with letters and get her back with her very Cool Junk.

I go straight to her column also and always have!! Crazy what the mags do in the name of crunching a dollar. I may not renew without her column to seek out. I am on the letter writing campaign already.
Did not know that Margo!
Sorry to hear it.

What? Scathing email just sent. Thanks for this heads up, Margo. ~Mindy
sounds like a great idea! why in the world would they want to phase her out is beyond me.
I will most definetly miss Ki in upcoming Country Home issues, HOWEVER, would she really want to work for an organization who obviously no longer wants her?

Hi Margo...
You are a very dear friend to Ki...'tis indeed a shame for Country Home to end this fun feature. I do wonder what direction they will be going into -perhaps more of crafty/artsy direction? I have seen this happen with Home Companion magazine - I just wonder if that may be where the trends/advertising dollars lay?
