My day in Canton

Roger hunted for dead people, while Margo

Looked for the very largest things she could find.

Interesting book Roger ;) He actually thought of getting it as a gag gift for someone.

here's my Whatsit???? Do you know? Ki you can't answer, because, I know you know, and you have a story to tell. Here's a hint, it folds up, and it's portable.

Margo's idea of Heaven

Here are some of my finds. See anything you like, just ask, It's probably for sale.

I got 4 of those cross street signs. They are so cool

Those 2 industrial displays would make great jewelry, or broom holders
and the orange box thingie, I can see lots of potential with it. I'm keeping the drink carrier.

a row of cistern buckets, (did you see my quick project this week?) and a shirt dryer, not sure what I'm gonna do with it yet.

lots of bed springs, and these unusual ones

with built in hooks. I've never seen any like this before.
I should have gotten the whole box. Woulda, Coulda, Shouda....

The funniest Flea Market site was a man, walking down a row, Whistling Dixie. I'm not kidding he was actually Whistling Dixie. That tune has been going through my head all day... Oh I wish I was in the land of cotton...old times there are not forgotten... Look away, Look away, Look away....

Is it a portable couch for a psychiatrist? Great springs and I would have bought the proctocolgy book--what a great white elephant gift!

I think you "whatsit" is an old portable embalming table. Undertakers would take it to the home, use it and display the body on it. Right?

My guess would have been portable massage table but didn't look strong enough so I think Moonlight Hollow might be right.
I wish I could go to a flea market like that this time of year! I have a lot of bed springs but haven't come up with the right thing to do with them yet. Do you have plans for yours?

Moonlight, you are right. Although I think it was more for viewing than actual embalming, but I could be wrong.

Thanks for a "dose of warm" here in snowy Wisconsin...
Now, as for those bed springs - love them!

I KNEW you went to canton yesterday!!! I KNEW it! I tried to get my hubby to take me, but no. The guys were welding and working on the pipe fence in front of our place. What an excellent spring day it was! You found some neat stuff. I really like that bottle holder. I'm keeping my eye out for one. See ya!

Margo,
That's not fair I was disqualified from the get go. Love the cool springs! I've been thinking of doing a post on how many things you can make out of springs...And what a cool shirt dryer...I wouldn't have guessed that one.
Peace,
Ki

I'm so glad I found you (via another blog)!

Okay, your whatsit is looking suspiciously like an examination table without the stirrups and roll of butcher paper. :) Or a rickety chaise from the 1960s.

Margo, I am not a junker but I like to read your blog. Some of that stuff looks scary, like you might need a tetnus(sp) shot but you always come up with some of the neatest things to make with them. I guess that is what junking is all about.

I saw all of those street signs when I was in canton this week also. I too, thought about buying them, but knew my hubby would want to know what the heck I needed those for! So,I resisted and actually bought very little this. There is always next month.
