Last weekend, my 23 yr old son moved out. This is not a shock, I've know it's coming for several years. He is almost done with school, and is doing well in his wedding photography and it was time. Plus he is just down the street. That said, and not to sound too un-motherly this means only one thing.
Time to re-decorate his room!
I'm starting with a clean slate, a few years ago we painted it and I'm keeping the color, so that part is done.
As you can see he still has a few things to either move to the attic or move to his apt. I'm hoping by this next weekend.
The only thing we are going to buy is a bed, and the linens. Everything else I already have in preparation for this day. Most of it is garage sale, or junk transformations. I'll be posting updates as this room transforms over the next 2 weeks. See I have a special guest coming and she and her DH need a fun junked up room to stay in.
Can't wait to get started.
Leg update: feels better everyday. today i'm at 90%, and am finally to get some speed to my limp. Don't worry, I'm taking it easy. Thanks for all of your well wishes.

Guess we all know who your "special friend" is by now!
Can I send my son with yours? Guess not - mine still has another year in college! But he's 23, too, just doesn't quite have his act all together yet.
As for my chiggers. I've tried nail polish, calamine, alcohol (burns like fire), and today I bought some stuff at Walmart for chigger and other insect bites. It helps a little, but it burns, too. Guess that's better than itching tho...
You gonna be able to go to sales this week? I'm glad your leg is better. It just wouldn't do for RoboJunker to get all gimped up!
Maybe I'll see ya tomorrow! Wanna have lunch? Tony's out of town...
Ki is coming to your house! Wow! I'd be so excited and so nervous all at the same time. She's like the biggest jewel of junk, the mother of makeovers, the royalty of roadside treasures. I love it when she even makes a comment on my blog!! I'm so excited for you. Post some pics soon! Dawn
How fun!!! I bet you are going to have more fun! And if I know you, you already have all kinds of plans and projects for the space. Glad the leg is doing better. ~Mindy
It looks like a wonderful space. Gee, hope you cheer up over this darling boy's move. I hate it when you're down in the dumps. ;>
Love the room colors. I'll be looking forward to seeing your updates on it's progress.
Keep the leg up!
Looks like you're in for some fun!
