I got it, now what????

A dealer friend of mine called me and said that she wanted to give me first shot at this iron gate.

Of course I scooped it up as fast as I could. Now my question is....What to do with it.
It's really heavy, DH suggests we don't hang it on a wall. It would be a neat headboard, but I don't need a headboard. It could be a pot rack, but I don't want a pot rack. This has to be something for ME, not for sale. For now it sits in my barn, making me smile. Any ideas? It's about 4' x 2.5'.

Margo - that is just absolutely awesome. Can you give us the dimensions so maybe we can come up with something. Thanks. Breznlin

WOW! What about a mirror behind it and hanging it in your office? I'll keep thinking. How awesome is it that it has your name on it!!

That's just one of those things you can't pass up. Like my boots! My size, my name. Can't let them get past you. How about placing it in your cute little garden?

I second the garden art idea.

That is a super find! How about a door mat. Put a bristle rug underneath it to catch dirt. You won't have to worry about the dogs carrying it off.

It is perfect for you! I like the door mat idea...what about putting it inside your creative room, like an inside door mat? Very Cool!

Of course you would want it to be just for you...who wouldn't? Could it be hung above your mantle? Maybe in your patio area. It's wonderful.

P.S. Too bad you can't put it on a chain and wear it around your neck...that's what I would want to do!

Ok. Talk about a WOW piece! Maybe have a table built to size, put that on top and then glass over it. Outdoors or indoors, it will be a great conversation piece! ~Mindy

Creative minds think alike. I was going to suggest a door mat however, it would look amazing in your garden. I think I would paint it? Nonethesless, it is awesome!

Margo, thats a neat piece..
First I was going to say a mirror, then a mat, then a table top..it must weigh a ton..you probably know a welder..maybe add "legs" to the bottom, so it could stand up & be seen..a novelty like that has alot of possibilities.

Beautiful! I think it would look awesome in your flower bed - I think you called it your junk yard.

Margo--great find. Any way you could hang it by your "barn/office" to designate your space??? LuAnn

I think this would make an incredible gate if you have a place for such a thing. I welder to add some other treasures to it and a frame stable enough to hold it.

Hey Margo, how about a coffee table. Make a frame and add a piece of glass. Maybe even add a box underneath for collectibles. I am sure you have a few of those.
