Yay for you! When I read about that desk in Country Living I thought, "Boy, I sure wish we still had our childhood school desks." Growing up, we had some like that but I think we got rid of them in a move. Too bad.

What a joy to find something you saw in a magazine. Great luck. Hope it cleans up good.

Excellent! I see those from time to time. Are they signed anywhere that you know of? I'm dying to see how you market it!

I just read this in my Country Living last night, Margo! Too funny that this would be your post today! I bought 3 bread plates from your OLC booth a couple days ago. Need 6 or 7 more to complete the project I have to do. Have any more in your possession?

Cool! When I saw the name Bel Geddes it rang a teeny bell, but didn't know why. Great desk! Like your new "long of photos, short on words' blog format. We all love to see photos of your stuff, anyway! I'd like to try that format, but i need to work on dumpin' a whole mess o' words!! :o} Have a great day *e*

Aawwww, I used to have one that my son used in his room and when we moved, I had to part ways with it.

We had pink desks just like the one pictured in my 4th grade class!

Last year I donated one like yours to our annual charity auction. It was painted orange and black -- local school colors -- but I can't remember what it sold for.

I have one just like this in my living room, refinished. Did not know it could date back to the 1940's until now.
