I visited one of my local pickers Wednesday and found a few fun items.
I got this small table, in a weathered black, a shelf rack in black metal, a fan cage and a shabby frame And this thing.
What is it?
Each drawer has divided sections
Seller said for prescriptions
Each drawer pulls all the way out, and then just hangs there so every divider can be accessed. It appears to be unused on the inside and very rusty on the outside.
I just love it.
I also bought 4 old doors, but I have to go pick them up with the trailer. They are 8' tall, white chippy, with glass windows in them, and some unusual hardware too.

Ok...the rusty card file thingy is cool looking. I need to hit W&T's and see what other goodies you have brought in! ~Mindy
What great finds! Love your necklace project from your post below. I will need to go and make one. Thanks for sharing.

I wouldn't think for the prescriptions themselves, but maybe prescription or medical records.
Oh... and be sure to note the price on the new ones. You might have a little gold mine on your hands there! Nice find!
I'm thinkin' you might wanna hang onto that file thingy for awhile and see what it's worth. Looks like a collectable item. Somebody might give you a pretty penny for it! Cool - I've never seen one of those things.
My family was in the automobile business and we had those card files and kept cards everytime someone purchased a car with info on it. What they purchased, VIN number, price, etc. So I'm guessing maybe lots of old businesses used them for various filing they had to do before the computer age.
the filing thing reminds me of things i saw working in banking. lots of old things in old branches - it may have been used to store safe deposit box signature cards and/or contracts... it's pretty cool!
That kardex is kool :)
I've been a nurse for 30 years, and in the hospital, we used kardexes(and some places still do) to file nursing care plans that we could update and flip through for reference and shift to shift report... ours weren't as awesome as that one though- great find!!
I love it all Margo, I just love all the things you find, my gosh, you are a busy lady, I read your blog all evening yesterday...didn't find one thing I didn't love. BUT Canton, we used to go there and sell our crafts, and I won't ever go back unless you have a court order making me.
