Junk Bonanza 2009 Part 2-Load in Day

Wednesday was Vendor load in day

Irene was set up outside with vendor packets, and lists, badges, tshirts and instructions. I was all set up to help her when the call came from the Junk Revolution Store that they needed help folding t-shirts

Ki with her Daughter Tayor and her sister Karla, discussing the set up of the store
I took a break from folding shirts to make these chandeliers. These are wonderful, they are 2 rings with holes in them that you can hang anything you want from, to make your own custom chandelier. This one uses cut up license plates.

Mostly I folded shirts all day. If you bought a tshirt there, then I probably folded it. As I was folding, I got to watch all the dealers load in their stuff. it was amazing to watch it rise from nothing to the beautiful set up that you saw when you came in on Thursday.

Look at all those goodies.

The pic abovwe and below are from Jane of Mustard Moon's space.
Jane is one of Ki's helpers, and such a sweet person too.

Lots of lovelies.

Later in the day some celebrities arrived.
Seen along with Heather Bullard are (Left to Right)Nancy Soriano, former editor of Country Living , Jo Packham of Where Women Create and Serena of The Farm Chicks.

Now here's a tip ladies. RENT A CAR, then everyone will NEED you to drive them around. I was so happy to be able to visit with these ladies as we traveled to and from the hotel, and to have their "Junk in my Trunk".
Later that night I got to finally meet Linda MacDonald of Restyled Home. I'll have some pictures of her and some other fun stuff tomorrow.

I know many of you are anxious to see what I bought, So here's a peak at my trunk after day 2 of shopping

You might be able to make out a few goodies in that jumble. And that even includes a stop at some Garage Sales with the Red Shed Girls.

Margo,
It's fun to see your pictures since we didn't get to see much of all the going on's before we arrived. It's also fun to go through the blogs and see some pic's of our junk. (the yellow trailer was our junk) I see something and think... that looks familiar... oh, that's ours!
Are you rested yet? It is taking a long time for me to bounce back!
Can't wait to see more.

Love the photos of the "making" of the Bonanza! Isn't it amazing how all the pieces fit together in the end? Looking forward to the rest of the story.

Thank you Margo for visiting our booth. I was thrilled to get to meet you, and since I was unable to make it to the blogging party, I'm thrilled to of met you outside of that.
So glad, you were the one that ended up with the racing horses. lol I grew up on a farm and can't even tell the difference between a horse and a greyhound dog. lol It turned out to be destined for your neck. Enjoy!

Margo, thanks for sharing your pictures with us. Even though I was there, when you're working you don't seem to take it all in. And how fun for you to be able to drive that bunch of cool women around! Now get some rest, there be more junking coming around the bend. Stay well!
