Closet Case

Mr R and I have been talking about going through all our clothes in our closet, and getting rid of what we don't or won't wear. He's got quite the T-shirt collection, some going back 30 years, and I just have lots of stuff that either doesn't fit right any more or I just don't wear. So we spent a rocking Friday evening going through it all, and this is the result.

I should have taken a pic of the pile, but I didn't think of it. To get this great pile from our room upstairs, all the way down to my car, I wheeled that wagon just under our balcony and Mr R threw the multiple loads of t-shirts, and jeans over the side, carefully aimed to completely miss hitting the wagon at all. I filled and emptied that wagon twice and completely filled the back of my car for the trip to Goodwill.

And the result is that I now have some hangers again. :)

There was something on every one of those hangers.

I feel much better now and It's time to go shopping for some new clothes :)

Enjoy your weekend, the Purge Continues...

Hi Margo - I would love to have seen your husband tossing clothes out the window! Of course, he's not going to hit the wagon! What's wrong with you?

This was cute - I think I've hauled nearly this much to Good will, but I still have some more to go! Have a nice weekend!

Great job! When I get low on hangers, I tell everyone to get rid of 5 things. 5x5 is 25 fewer items in the house!

So what you're telling me is he can hit a pumpkin at forty paces, but he can't hit a wagon for zip?
Isn't it just scandalous how many clothes we have that never see the light of day? I need to do that too...I think a good purging would feel good.

I helped Craig clean out his sock drawer...s yesterday! He had 3 of them! I ask him how in the world could he ever wear all those socks! (his mom buys him socks all the time, even if he don't need them)!
