I just wanted to send out prayer requests for my Mother who is having Back surgery today for a severely herniated disk.
She has gone from fully mobile and active, to fully immobile in just 4-5 months. She was walking at Thanksgiving and Christmas and cannot walk much now. She's only 67 and has been very active until this. Surgery is scheduled for 5:30 Monday Morning.
Please pray for smooth surgery (no complications) and successful outcome.
I'm sure she doesn't want the world knowing her business so I'll keep her name to myself. God knows who Margo's mom is.
Update:
Spoke to mom on the phone and she sounded good. Said her hip and leg were no longer hurting like they had been, just her back where they did the surgery.
Will be traveling to her house to help care for her either tomorrow or wednesday.
Thank you for all your prayers, and encouragement.

Margo, I'm praying for your mom right now. I'm praying for a successful surgery and minimal pain and complete recovery for her. Back surgery is so tricky and I know that she'd not be having it if she were not desperate for some relief! Consider yourself hugged and your sweet mom prayed for. I'll be waiting to hear how she did. Love ya, my friend... Vickie
What a sweet picture of you two...praying right now.

Thank you everyone, so far no news, she got into surgery around 8am.
Will update when I have news. Your prayers are very appreciated.

Prayers already starting.... She is in the hands of the greatest Physician of them all.... By this time it is probably over but prayers for speedy recovery and full success in getting her back on her feet soon
Thinking of both you and your mom today. I hope all goes well and she recovers back to her old self!
What a sweetheart your mom is. What a wonderful picture of you both. Yes, I will pray that she recovers quickly from surgery, has relief from pain, and is restored to being able to do everything she wants to do.
God Bless you and Your Mother, I Pray that with time she heals and is able to walk and be active again....
Hugs Patti
I'm just now seeing this Margo, but you can be sure I'll be adding your mom and your entire family to my prayers for her complete recovery. I'll also be sending up prayers for all the hospital staff.

We will be praying for your family and that the surgery and recovery go well. Take care of yourself as well!
Margo, glad all went well for your mom!
Going through something similar with my Great Uncle. Went from fully mobile at Christmas to not being able to stand up last week. He has his procedure tomorrow, so keep him in your prayers tomorrow!! Glad to hear your mom came through good!!
Hugs and prayers for your mom!
Margo,
Glad the surgery went well! DBH had back surgery 5 years ago and is still doing well. One of the important things we learned was follow the Dr.'s recovery instructions to the line. Take it slow, NO HEAVY LIFTING, and remember when taking those short walks you have to figure in the return walk back into those short walk calculations. You may have to get firm with mom as the no pain feeling makes you want to do more than you should. Best wishes to your mom on her recovery. Karla
