Weekend Treasure Hunting

This past weekend I decided to take a short little road trip out of town, in the hunt for some treasures. I had a destination in mind, but was on no schedule and decided to stop anywhere along the way that called to me. I managed to find some really great stuff

Most of it I found at my flea market destination, but there were some good finds along the way as well. See that egg shaped thing with the holes that looks like a soap dish. We think that might be an egg separator or something like that. Just my kind of weird. I got 3 of these trouble light cages with glass. You know what a sucker I am for them. And those wire long things are egg catchers from a hatchery.

Most of these items are not yet listed on my Etsy store, so feel free to inquire.
One of my stops was to a thrift store that I passed. You know the kind where they buy up storage buildings and then throw all the stuff out for you to rummage through. I picked up 2 things and took them to the checkout (if you can call it that. It was just the spot nearest the 3 folks chit chatting in the office). All of a sudden, this junk that had been left outside to get wet and dirty, got real valuable to her. She had to plug in the lamp to show me it worked, and consult her friends about what price she should charge me. All the while , telling me what a great piece this or that was. When we agreed on a price and I was getting out my money and I mentioned that I was tax exempt, which tells her I'm a dealer. She responded with, "If i'd know that I'd of charged you more", she was serious, How Rude!
Except for that it was a great picking trip, and I'm oh so happy with my purchases, and my fun day.

I actually bought one of those egg thingies at an estate sale, my son and I think it's used to dye Easter eggs...to dip the eggs? Well, that's what we are using it for anyway!

Rude and ignorant..who would buy more from her, a dealer or someone needing one thing for their house? And, what does she think she is? Buying and reselling?! Oh well, just saves you time when you don't stop next time.
