Reality TV

Got the wreath finished

I'm pleased with the end result, this item is for sale on my web site if you are interested.
I decided to use the swag above a window instead of on top of the mirror. Very easy to hang and I love the look. I'll take a pic later. Now i'm on the hunt for red transferware for another wreath.

On a different note. My DH (robot builder) was approached by one of those reality television shows today where the Mom's swap places. Here are some excerpts from the email. I've deleted the name of the show as I don't want it to come up on any google searches. but it is W*f* S*ap.
My
name is ******* and I am a casting director for ABC's Primetime
show, **** ****. I hope you don’t mind me contacting you, but
we're
gearing up for a fourth season at the moment and we're currently
looking
for R o b o t Builders to feature on an upcoming episode.
I was doing a bit
of online research and came across your website. The idea
is to show
America the values of a family who works together create
objects that we
can all benefit from in the future.

I've seen this show, and I said "did you tell them not
NO, but HE** NO".

What an interesting proposition ;/
20 grand isn't enough, A cool million might do it.

Hahahahaha... "*ell no!" eh? LOL! I don't blame you one little bit. Goodness knows who might wind up in your house raising your kids for two weeks and you'd have to go somewhere, too, right? Hahahaha...this is the funniest thing I've read all day. I'd probably do it for $100,000. ROFL!

BTW, the plate wreath is really nice and I think what you're suggesting with the swag would be very nice, too. Wonder about using plates as tie-backs?

Oh my gosh! I'm laughing my a** off here. And you know me so you know there is a lot of territory there! (if only it were possible to really laugh it off!)
Twenty grand isn't enough, huh? LOL.I've seen that show too - I can't imagine what makes people do that. Some of them I can see probably need the money, but others, well they just are missing a few screws!
Love the plate wreath. When are we going looking for red plates?

OMG! I cannot believe they contacted your husband, and totally agree with you that the answer is H*LL NO (my favorite response to everything—love you TX gals)!

$20,000 for public humiliation (and don't tell me their editing is anything but that) and massive disruption of your lives???

You guys should go a little further in the casting process, just so we can hear about it!!!!

And what did they mean "we're looking for 'robot builders' "??? You'd probably be matched with some Luddites that don't have electricity or something...

Thanks for a big laugh before bedtime! XOX

The plate swag is very sweet; I agree with the other person about plate tiebacks; they'd be sweet!

You guys are too funny. Yep the more I think about it the more I say NO!!!!! he didn't even give it a second thought, and when I mentioned it to my boys, I got the strangest look, like "you're not seriously considering it, are you?" Yep, it's public humiliation 101.

The plate wreath is so unique and pretty! That's an idea that would never have crossed my mind. How do you keep coming up with these neat ideas?

I would never have thought the TV show would contact people through email like that. My first thought would be was it a scam of some kind, but what would they have to gain? All those reality shows get on my nerves. I don't watch any of them - especially that one.

Just imagine Margo, if you went on the show you would be famous!! People in Canton would recognize you and you couldn't even go to the grocery store without saying, hey that's the lady that was on the show (bleep). I'm just kidding. I don't blame you for not wanting to go, I wouldn't either!! I was laughing as I wrote this, too funny.
