More Jewelry Fun

With all the winter coldness, Indoor projects have been abundant this past week.
I've had fun with letterpress symbols and made some pendants and a pr of earrings (i'm keeping)

What I did was to take 3 different colors of ball chain from the hardware store. Cut them the same length. Wire wrap the ends and made loops, and then added a clasp. Then before I put them on , I twist them like the old twister beads from the 80's. They can be twisted loos or tight. I love the look.

These are small letter press exclamation points. They are also very light.

The earrings below are made from small brass tags I got off etsy. They are a lot lighter than they look.


And while browsing some mags yesterday at the book store, I saw a pillow similar to this one, and had the "i can do that" moment. Came home and whipped up this sample. Pretty easy. I think they'd look fun with numbers and black background fabric.



Dh and I also hit 1 garage sale and I ended up getting all this with his encouragement. Now I have to clean it, paint it and of course Sell it.

Don't let the pic below fool you. She's half bassett hound and her legs are very short. The snow was about 5"

It will probably all be gone by tonight, or at least not so pretty.

Funnel Projects. Here's a funny behind the scenes story. Ki sent the call out for funnels to all all her junker friends. I boxed up a bunch and sent them out to her.
I don't know if any of them made the article, but a few months ago I got a box of funnels back. See the tape with M on it. Those are the celebrity funnels. I've been collecting funnels ever since, knowing that this will be the next hot item.

And the funnel projects are wonderful!!!!


Who knew an old funnel could be so useful, and beautiful.

I've only shown peaks of the articles, the stories, and pictures are to die for.
Everything is well written, this is not a "pictures only" publication, you'll want to read every word, take in every project and hint, every story, and antidote.
It's a gem.

Two wonderful beautiful boxes full of magazines were on my desk when I got to work. I forgot that I had them sent to my work address. I shreeked like a little girl, and an amazing Happy Dance followed.

Can't wait to have time to look through it. It looks wonderful so far, You'll love the projects, and the articles. I've only heard about some of this so I'm seeing it for the first time. Will post some sneak peaks later as I get time after work.

Good Junk Pendants, fun with bits and pieces

You all know I love playing with bits and pieces, large or small. I've had fun with what I call my "good junk pendants" this week.

Various bits of this and that

Hang them on a ball chain (not included)

Even a pearl necklace


I've got 1 listed on etsy right now, I'll probably take the others to my various booths. I think these go great with blue jeans.

I've also been making some necklaces for my Greyhound Rescue buddies.


These are made from Greyhound bus brass tags. Not sure what the purpose of the tags was, but they are cool.

And Lastly, I finally found another heart shaped perfume bottle and made this pendant. Bottle is 1.5" wide and 1.75" long plus length of hook. bottle is heart shaped, and (Hard to see) has a heart and star design in the glass. $18.00 to bloggers, plus shipping cost. Yuck, As a multi-business owner, this is the yearly challenge of getting it all together to get sent to the CPA.

Fun Jewelry Display Ideas

Because Jewelry is one of the items I love to make with repurposed items, I'm always looking for fun ways to display and store my jewelry

Above is my own personal jewelry, I hang my necklaces from this old clip board I got at the Bonanza last September. Also take a look at those frames, they have lace glued to the inside of them where I hang my fish hook earrings.

At Winnie & Tulula's I have adapted one of Gretchen's ideas and mounted an old
fan cage on a spindle on a lamp base and I hang the necklaces from that. I also have an dress form that I have pendants pinned to.


This is an item I've retired, I used it to display bracelets. It's just an old candle holder and a spindle.
