A little Bling Bling

Let's talk about Jewelry. I just love making jewelry out of "junk". This last trip to Canton I bought lots of jewelry junk, and my mind has been spinning with ideas. Here are a few of the new things I've come up with. I must say that I have been inspired by a few fellow bloggers and for that I thank you.

What can you do with an old Escutcheon Plate, some old keys, and maybe a game token or two. Well you can make these pins.

And these lovely items just happen to be for sale. Hint Hint ;)

I also picked up a bunch of old flatware today and came home and made these lovely earrings.

Also for Sale.

I went with the Escutcheon Pin idea from above and adapted it for earrings.

For Sale as Well.

I have found a venue to place a small jewelry display through the holiday season, for a reasonable price. And I plan on doing this. I hope I'll be able to sell some of my creations. I really like making them, but I can't wear them all. So here's my fingers crossed.&&&&&&

Here are a few other earrings that I've made just for me. Mostly because I don't have the materials to make any more.

DAV license tags

clock hands

vintage dice (I get the most comments on these earrings)

And here is a pin I made for myself, all from stuff I got on Friday in Canton. I got the JUNK letters at Ki and Sue's booth. I got the DAV license plate just down the way and the key and plate just across from the DAV guy. It's a great remembrance of a great day.

Just let me know if you are interested in any of these items. I have an Etsy store with a few items listed. I have 3 jewelry pieces on ebay this week, and I'll gladly sell anything on my web page.

Ok here is the plan for the letter type. Email me your mailing address to chilllyt@yahoo.com asap. I will send a sample of letters. I think they are too heavy for earrings. Maybe something else? One could serve as a charm, but I don't think I'd wear an entire name around my neck or wrist. They're so heavy! I know you'll come up with something very clever to do with them. But I want to give you an opportunity to see them before I actually ask you to pay for them.
How does that sound? I'll send you the letters M-A-R-G-O!

Oh my, what beautiful pieces you are showing off. I love how you have taken something old and made something new and grand. I think I'll have to stop by your Etsy or Ebay shop to see what I might find.
