Pieces of Flair

Today I had lunch with TinaTx in Jacksonville (TX not FL). She took me to a great Tea Room, and yes we had dessert. It was a very rich chocolate thing with ice cream, and we split it, and didn't finish it. Then she took me to a couple of shops in town, where I got me this great ? pin

right now it is on my jean jacket, and with my crown pin, it looks like I'm collecting my own "pieces of Flair". If you've never seen Office Space, it is a famous phrase from the movie, and I recommend it for a little light hearted television sometime, but if I remember right, it's not great for kids, but it's a fun movie.
While at Tina's house I got some great ideas for some future projects. Thanks for a great afternoon Tina.

Now for some flair for my home. I love how these vintage Christmas balls look in this bowl

I know it's too early for Christmas decor, so these will be put away for now, but I'll be bringing them out soon.

I wanted to talk about a salvage store I've found, and some great gals that are rescuing treasures for new uses.

Island Girl Salvage
has some great stuff on their site, they are located in Illinois, so if you live nearby check them out. See their
blog too for some great T2T ideas. If they don't have what you are looking for in their store, they'll even keep an eye out for it for you. Be sure to visit them in the blog-world. I Just love their logo, Rosie the Riveter is so "me", Wish you gals sold t-shirts.
Later,
Margo

LOL - when I tell people I'm from Jacksonville they always assume Florida. When I say Texas they are like, 'there is a Jacksonville in Texas?' I think there is Jacksonville in every state!
I'm glad you had a good time - it is so much more fun shopping with someone than by yourself!
Your ? looks great on you jean jacket.
Love the 'balls in a bowl' - I do that at Christmas too.
Looking forward to our next shopping trip!
And that was some rich chocolate, wasn't it!

I was about to say that there isn't a Jacksonville in my corner, but then I checked it out. Yup, there is!

Now you gals have me wondering what kind of rich chocolate you left on the plate. :)

I like your pin and the ornaments in the bowl. You sure it's too early to display them?

How fun Margo!! What a great day, lunch and a great pin. I love that movie, it cracks me up.
I would buy a tee shirt if they made one like that too.
Have a great weekend,
Rosemary
