Out with the Old

I get like this every year around this time. I guess I'm not the only one, and maybe it's the origin of Boxing Day in Canada. But I feel I need to get rid of stuff. I know at the new year, the hardware stores are full of plastic organizing bins and other organizing stuff, so I know i'm not alone. Anyway, I've decided after years of collecting Mini Colorware creamers in all shapes and sizes that I'm going to sell of a good chunk of my collection. Today I pulled some off from their current place of honor and am getting them ready for Ebay.

some of these are worth $30-$40, so I'm also hoping to raise some cash for fun T2T projects as well. Watch for these to be listed just after the new year. I'll also start selling my creations on Ebay again after the New Year. I'm just too busy right now.

In with the New
I finally got my order of prisms in today, and I've been playing with them. For now I strung this garland with teardrop dangles from my inspiration board, trying to keep it in the forefront of my mind.

I also was able to get a pretty good shot of the China Swag that I decided to use as a window topper.

I kinda like it up there. I think I'm going to be adding China Swags and Wreaths to my regular product line, I just love making these things.

I'm also working on a few jewelry projects, and a couple of furniture projects. So watch for them soon. I just love weekends.

Hi Margo,
I know what you mean about cleaning out. I like to do that too.
I think the creamers will sell well.
Love the way the window topper looks.
I love weekends too!

I am also anxious to get out with the old. It's funny how you look back at your life and different things you collected throughout the years; I guess we just get bored and like the excitement new challenges and collections bring. I love the china swag! And I love Saturday mornings!!

I really like the china topper there...it just looks fantastic!

Is that a green Fiesta ware pitcher? You don't want to get rid of that one, do you? LOL!

Great resolution, & awesome collection of pitchers...should sell well on ebay. If we don't do out with the old, we can't go on to new and exciting things! one collection just starts to blend with the other, and becomes a hodgepodge, instead of shining! I've pared down several collections recently by sharing a space @ a small resale shop w/ a friend...she got me super motivated by going upstairs in my barn, and saying "OMG!!!! You can't even move up here...get rid of this C#*P. we can turn this stuff into $$$, so get a move on!!"...or words to that effect...my DH has been telling me the same thing for years, and I'd say...Yes, dear...so far I've sold $600 worth of stuff that's been in my barn for ages...so I say...out with the old...in w/ clock faces, & game pieces, & funky old linens 'n trims that I plan to turn into cool totes & pillows etc. in 2008..& whatever makes our hearts beat a little faster when we see 1 @ a TS or estate sale or even on the side of the road ;o) Merry Christmas & happy hunting in 2008! *elaine*
