Can you believe this is my 199th post. In honor of my 200th post coming up, I'm going to have a give away. But more about that later. Right now I want to show you this fun project. I saw this project on one of the Message boards I read and decided to adapt it for my own.
Isn't this just delicious? It's the pocket from an old suit case, mounted on a wood board in a frame. Then I added various items to it to dress it up. For those of you wondering, the wooden board and frame were part of my Weekend Flea Market Finds.
here it is with some old valentines in it.
And here it is with old button cards
What a great way to have a changeable piece on your wall. It could display old photos, game pieces, jewelry the possibilities are endless, I just love this project. This one is for sale $20.00 and It's yours (plus shipping). Just lmk if you are interested.
Now onto the giveaway. Everyone who responds to this post will be entered. I will draw a name on Saturday and it will be yours.
I dug through my various junk stashes and came up with these items. This would be a paper crafters dream. Included are
Genuine vintage bingo card, and pieces that spell out BINGO. Metal buckles, old key and key plate, Metal Parking Token, Metal tag with numbers, 3 vintage plastic typewriter keys, Raffle tickets, pink and yellow tags, one of my quilted angel ornaments, genuine old stamps, some ribbon pieces, a pink tassel and it will all come in that beautiful tin you see there.
But wait there's more. I decided to add this old crochet doily
Now be sure to leave a comment and you will be entered. The drawing will be Saturday and I'll post the winner then.
Good luck.

Girlfriend, I was just about to email you to see if everything was okay! You haven't posted in a few days and I was starting to worry about you.
Love what you did with the chippy door panel! Too cute! I'm still thinking about mine - if only I could paint, I would already have it finished but since I can't, I'm still thinking! (and trust me, that could be a lenghty process!)
Too fun Margo !! You have got to be the most creative gal I have ever met ! that is just awesome !!!
hugs,
Lori
Margo - I'm trying my hand at altered art and making journal covers, so your bundle of giveaway items would be a great way for me to build me stash. Hope I win! I'll be sending you pictures of a shutter project soon.....
Hi Margo,

I saw that idea when it was posted and wondered how long b/f you would alter one. Cool.
I will be scavenging for an old suitcase, as I don't want to tear apart any I have.
Thanks for the give away. I would be tickled if my name was drawn.

Margo, your creativity bowls me over! I can't wait each day to go to your blog and see what you've come up with next!! This is my FAVORITE blog (much to my daughter's disappointment, because she, too, has a blog - she's No. 2).

Oh Margo, I love the suitcase pocket project! I've been gathering up old suitcases to paint on, now I will have to try this project with the pockets.
Ok, Margo - here's my entry! Love what you did with your door panel - boy you're FAST!!! I'm still looking at mine. I have an idea with some old doorknobs or old hooks or maybe paint something on it... Vickie

Just found your site and I absolutely love it. This is my passion to repurpose things. Thanks so much.
Absolutely love it! The fabrics used to make suitcases are just yummy - it's nice to showcase them. I'll be scrounging through my old suitcases soon! Thanks for your almost daily inspirations. As Dana very cleverly put it, "Happy Blogiversary!"
Blessings, Cheryl

I Adore what you did! Still waiting to see when HGTV is giving you a show... Wow, you are a chatty blogger like me.. I have so many posts it is almost embarassing... Hehehe, cant wait to see what you come up with next.. Jamie
Margo,
I enjoy your blog and all of your images! I've yet to complete any project, but wait till it warms up a little.... I always tell my daughter "Margo this and Margo that" I used to tell her you know that blog I read, the other day she told me ..."Mom, you don't have to tell me she's from the blog, just say Margo" Your ears must burn a lot! Anyhoo, keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for responding to me on the HGTV message site. That was the first time that I had ever published anything on a site before! When you responded, it was as though I had found a new friend...great feeling! I posted some pictures on that same "minigreenhouse" site and wanted to know if you had gone back and looked at it? Didn't know if you had had the time or not. After thinking about it, i thought I probably should have posted each one on a new post...anyway, I saw the picture of a house on your blog..Is this your New house you spoke of that you built? It's very similar to our house, except that it will be stucco and brick in various places..Tuscan look, with pink roses in front (those are my favorite!) Again, nice to find a new friend - have been wanting to go to Canton forever.. PS Mitzy is my Lhasa Apso/Shitzu girl's name!
"Eureka" is the same as "mitzy" on the HGTV site. I'm from Eureka Springs!
Margo, don't care if I'm too late for the drawing, Just wanted to let you know that I lurk a lot and get a great deal of enjoyment from your blog/magazine/store. I can't remember where I saw it, or if I posted a comment, but the story you told about your husband sneaking back to pick up those spindles by the side of the road and giving them to your for Christmas was fabulous. I keep thinking about it. What a great guy! Someday I will figure out how you have more hours in the day than the rest of us. Congrats on 199.
Valarie
the house on your left side of your blog is the one I was talking about, anyway...What did you use instead of the GE silicon II glue on your glass totems? You gals have so many inspirational ideas! By the way, Our son was accepted to Arkansas Tech yesterday, and he was so excited, that he was jumping for joy (and almost touching the ceiling--he's 6'3"!!) Enjoyed the projects (all your projects) that you posted on your web page and your blog. I don't have a blog page or a web page...I just craft!
Margo...I LOVE your website! I am an accidental junkie. I stumbled into it , then discovered there is a whole lot of junkies just like me. I was excited! My husband was as unbeliver and I have changed his attitude about junk. Now he dosent roll his eyes when I bring home the junk or the money!
Love what you did with the suitcase pocket. I'm on the hunt for an orphaned suitcase!
I love to read your blog, it truly is an inspiration for me, your imagination to make things is fantastic. Please count me in on the drawing. I love reading your blog and I really look forward to your ideas! Congrats on 200!!!Thanks again! Kim from Illinois

Wow!! I love what you did with the suitcase pocket. I'm going right now and take mine out of the suitcase I made into a small coffee table. What a creative mind you have. I would love to win the giveaway too.
