Big news

Ok, as I promised here is my big news. You know I mentioned a Magazine opportunity awhile back. Well here's the whole story. I rec'd this email in January I've removed some specific information to keep the surprise.

"I just spoke with .... from Country Home Magazine and they are putting together a new page with reader's projects inspired by the magazine. I noticed... you recreated the ?????. If you are interested in forwarding a photo to them along with a short note about how you were inspired or whatever, there is a good chance they would run it in this April's magazine."

Well I got the photo to them, no easy task mind you, and I got this email on Friday.

"Yeah!!!! Your ... photo is running in April! I just got the confirmation from CH. I kinda thought it would be...but you just never know what can happen last minute."

So look for a robojunker project in the April issue of Country home. As stated above it is a copy of a project I saw in the magazine. I'm so excited.

Now for my weekend.
I had lots to do in the metroplex, but one of my main things was to stop by The Red Shed Girls sale, visit and of course, pick up some junk. I got to meet the 2 Michelle's and saw Valorie of course. I picked up this great rusty fire engine

Here is some more eye-candy from their sale.

I just loved their displays. That is something I really need to work on with my booth.

Here is Valorie working her little patootie off.
I'm so glad I was able to fit this into my weekend, it was fun to see other junkers succeeding at their first love, JUNK.

WOW! I am soooo proud of you! Can't wait for the magazine... Things are decidedly going your way of late!

XOX

P.S. Can you change your link to me on your "typelist" or whatever it's called to Vintage Rescue Squad? Someone else has started a blog called Vintage Sue (which I'm fine with), but I want my business' name out there! Thanks!

I'm excited for you, Margo! I'll be looking forward to the Mag coming out!

Thanks for your sympathy about my breakin. I'm just SO angry right now, but I found some of Mom's dishes on Replacements.com and Robbinsnet.com. That'll help altho it won't be the originals. Haven't found my grandmother's yet. Still looking. I know with time, it'll be okay, but I'm trying to deal with my anger and loss right now. You bet we're getting a security system! THIS WEEK! take care- Vickie
