Ki is coming to Texas

Woo Hoo!!!! Actually I've know this to be a probability for several months now. Ki has spent the Winter in FL with her parents, and as Minnesota warms up, she is headed home. With an off the track detour through TX to shop at First Monday with me as her guide. Talk about a dream come true for me. I am so fortunate to have gotten to know Ki over the past year. Talk about creativity. It just flows from this little lady. She is always willing to talk junk, give advise, ask for advise and just be one of the girls. When we were at the Junk bonanza in September, she even came up to our hotel room for a pajama party.

Seen her hugging her Sandy Mechanical Horse at the Junk bonanza 2008

If you don't know who Ki Nassauer is, well she is the original Junk Queen, Regular contributor to Country Home magazine via the cool junk column, and co-author of these 2 books.

And my inspiration as well. These days you can read about her junking adventures and ideas on her blog where she regularly shares projects and ideas and even fun stories of her family. She also has a web site and junking message board at JunkRevolution.com in addition to having one of the biggest Junk Roundups in the Midwest, the Junk Bonanza every September.

As much as I would like to keep Ki to myself, I am willing to share.
We will be
shopping at the First Monday Flea market on Thursday May 28.
It's a chance for her to see First Monday "incognito" and get some junking done while she's there.

We will be planning a place and time for any bloggers that want to come visit with her. She'd love to meet some of her Texas Blogging Buddies.

Keep checking my blog as time gets closer for a specific time and place. This will not be a big publicized meeting, just a little get together for anyone who reads our blogs and wants to come by and say hello.

Now you know why my leg has to heal by the 28th!!!!
But a scooter is a second option.

I'm jealous, I know you and Ki will have a "junking adventure" major! I wish I could be there too. Be sure and share all the junking fun that you have with the rest of us.

Be sure to come by and say hello! I don't have a scooter to loan you, but feel free to leave your heavy treasures in my building so you don't have to haul them around. Lucky you... Maggie
