Ki's Visit Day Two

For Ki and Kerry's 2nd full day in East Texas, I decided to take them to a couple of local antique towns.
We passed this vintage vette and had to get a shot of Kerry with the car. He's a car guy for sure. He and Roger had lots to talk about when it came to cars. I guess it's a guy thing.

First stop was Mineola, but we stopped at one of my favorite secret places just north of town on the way. I fell in love with this old clock sign, it is from some place in Minneapolis. I think the face needs to be turned right-side-up. It's a bit too big for Ki to take home though. It would have been great for the Bonanza.

Ki likes these old radios

She did make a purchase, this great old glass arm chandelier

Then it was on to Mineola. We both liked this old circus elephant ride.
Look at those great colors.

Great burgers, and local flavor. This is a must stop place for anyone visiting Mineola. East Texas Burger Co.

Kerry likes his sweets, and we had to get some fried pies

These were available on the honor system. Place the money in the glass jar, and pick your flavor.

A roadside sale caught our eye and we made Roger make a u-turn

Ki loves puppies, and was real close to taking one of these home.

Then we were off to Gladewater for a 3:30 meet up at Rebecca's place. Rebecca is a fellow message board member over at Junk Revolution. She had quite the spread with wonderful iced tea and some brownies to die for. Of course Kerry and I tried the brownies.

Penny, Rebecca's Pug, loves to have her belly rubbed

This is Ki with Rebecca and her crew
Thanks to everyone for welcoming Ki and Kerry to East Texas.

Saturday Morning they headed back to Minneapolis at the crack of dawn. Of course I had to ask for one last picture in the Nassauer suite. I really enjoyed having Ki and Kerry stay with me and we had a great time junking, visiting, and planning.

I'm sure you'll be seeing more of our adventures in the near future so keep an eye out on our blogs for some exciting news real soon.

Wow, y'all covered a heap of miles in such a short time! I love E.T. Burgers especially the fries! That clock is really cool and yes, it needs to be turned over.
Thanks for participating in the Bella Raffle. Every one of y'all are the cream of the crop and I am so glad I started blogging.

Margo,
It looks like you all had a TON of fun! I love the puppies and the old drawers on the roadside sale...did you all purchase? Seen any granny carts in any of your outings lately? I have GOT to get my hands on some of those as well as wire baskets of all sorts...can you keep your eyes peeled for me?
