More Christmas Bling

As you know I've become inspired recently to holiday-ify my house. Still don't have the tree up or the porch done, but the weather has been really wet and cold and I just haven't had time. So I'll show the window treatment I came up with. I wanted to hang these "new" mercury glass-ish ornaments from my window, but just hanging them there didn't work for me, so I devised this little contraption.

What I did was to take some heavy gauge wire, and attached it to the window frame. Then I covered it in this burlap ribbon I have, and hung the ornaments from the wire (with care). It won't withstand any strong winds, but it's holding up for now.

On another note, I'm compiling "Margo's Favorite" list, kinda like Oprah's favorite so look for it soon.

Any favorites you'd like to share????

Hey Margo - I like your decor. Are those vintage-y mercury glass ornaments? They're pretty whatever they are and I like that burlap touch. Can't wait to see what you do with your porch!

You're welcome to use my blue windowbox post if you want. Very high level of difficulty I might say. I don't know if your audience can handle it or not! JK - it was super EZ. Take care!!!

Oh, yeah. Mixing the burlap with the mercury is so very appealing to my eye. I like it a lot! Where did this cold weather come from??? ~Mindy

You are busy as a little bee, aren't you? Everything is looking fantastic. I want to get out and do the yard, but darn this cold weather!
