Wedding Plans

As you may or may not know, my Son is getting married in June. I was thrilled when he asked me to help him with the centerpiece arrangements for their reception. He had a picture in his mind from this photographers web site.

What a cute idea...

I knew exactly where to find the mugs, and I have lots of old books, so we began to brainstorm some of the other details.

I ordered the mugs last week, and they arrived today. I couldn't wait to get started playing .

Above is the arrangement he likes best. The ribbon will be different, and of course the flowers will be different.
The brides mother is in charge of the flower ordering and arranging
I'm just arranging the Junk.

I liked it so much I added a more junk to it, and for now it's my centerpiece on my table.

I can't wait to see it on the ivory table cloths, with a pretty satin ribbon underneath. Beautiful roses flowing out of those containers.

It will be beautiful. I'm so glad they are including me in on this.

I'm getting ready for a give away so keep watching. I hope to get it up for the weekend.

I love it! It will be soo unique! When my son got married I used the clear flowerpot votive, you have in the picture, in the green colored mason jars; they fit perfectly... can't wait to see it all done up! Lezlee

How wonderful that you get to be a part of the wedding arrangements. What a honor. Your arrrangement is so close to the original...it's hard to tell which from which!
You are going to have so much fun!
Enjoy!!!

Looks great! Another idea for trays....tarnishid silver! That's what we used on some of the tables at my sons wedding in Dec. piled high with vintage baseball trophies, pearls, baseballs and red sparkly stuff and candles! We wern't using real flowers but I think your roses will be lovely! Have fun!

Do you still have those silver tropy cups? They would look cute with roses in them too...stacked on the books. Doing all the tables different is very "in" in the wedding circles! Plus it is so much easier cause you dont have to have 20 of one thing!

The centerpiece is going to be so interesting to look at. You might think about adding some pictures of the couple when they were little or going together. How nice that they asked you to help them..God Bless all of you. sandi

Margo great job duplicating the original! Try putting a mirror underneath it..votive candles and a sprinkle of clear glass marbles for a nice glow..it's such a fun time with all the planning!
