Just One Sale

I got a late start, and on the way to doing something else, I decided to turn when I saw a "Garage Sale" Sign. The telltale signs of a good sale were
not there,
but I decided to get out of the car anyway. Not having much time, I knew this would be the only sale I'd be able to hit.

I was first greeted by Cupie the cutest and sweetest Boston Terrier I've ever seen.
After that, I met her master who had been a missionary in Japan in his younger years. He quickly began to tell me the history of each item I picked up.I'm sure the sale had already been pretty picked over, but I found a few treasures including this old travelers bag that has actually been to the top of Mount Fuji, I love the clasps.
turn the dial to open and lock shut.
And a Japanese rice paddle and an old Japanese necklace with a tiger.
As well as a few other goodies I could not pass up.
The gentleman was a pleasure to visit with and just as I was heading out, another group of folks were walking up. First they were greeted by Cupie and then the gentleman's stories started all over again.
I smiled when I was leaving and was so happy I had stopped. A sweet pooch, a few treasures and a dear old guy and his stories. It doesn't get better than that.

Love the bag...and everything else. The story, priceless. I call it the sale radar. I always leave my house without a plan but I always end up ok. Blessings, Marta.
