One more thing off the list, or new use for old picture frames

Well It's the time of year for those family Christmas Card pictures. After a fiasco last year, I decided to try and get someone to take the pic instead of using a timer on the camera. Fortunately we have some friends that have a studio, and I asked them if they'd just push the button for us. I knew what I wanted to do and thought that is all I needed. Well photographers can never "just push the button" so we had lights, background and many many shots. It ended up being quite fun and I thought I'd share some of the photo's and "outtakes" with you all. I really like some of the unplanned shots.

First off, here's the official Christmas Card pic.

Here is the "old frame" idea. these are all frames I picked up at garage sales throughout the year. I even took a few off the wall and dragged them to the shoot.

Here are some more. my only planned shot was the one above. I brought the other frames "just in case" We had fun figuring out how to use them and the Kids had fun goofing off, Enjoy.

Brother Love

"Try to be serious, while I look lovingly at you" I ended up liking this one quite a bit.

This one is good too.

Older son, goofing off, Younger son, staring into space

I really like how these turned out, and we had fun doing it. The whole process was about 1/2 an hour, much better than going to a studio. And she didn't even charge me.
My son the wedding photographer (bearded one) had trouble being the subject and not behind the camera, but he managed to cooperate. I'm real pleased with this year's pic.

Great pictures! I wish I could get all of mine together for a picture. I tried at Thanksgiving but it nope. Maybe when the kids are here for Christmas.
I'm so excited you are getting a house from Linda! I can't wait to see pictures. Are you getting a tabletop? For inside or out? I just love mine.
We need to do lunch again soon - need chocolate!!!

What fantastic pictures! Love the candid ones! Natural smiles are much better than staged ones. Glad you had a great time and created a wonderful memory!
