My Very own Redneck Chic Bag

Look What arrived today

All wrapped up in duct tape and twine

My very own, oh so fashionable,
Red Neck Chic-Robelyn Original "Margo" Handbag.

It all started awhile back when I fell in love with some Orla Kiley Fabric

"I have a piece of that", Robelyn said, and I'll make you a bag

Then I sent her my very Picky bag requirements

"I've got the perfect pattern" said she and "it's got the pockets you want",

"The strap you want, the opening you want and
That wonderful piece of Orla Kiley Fabric"

I said, "make it for Fall, and can I have it by the time I leave for the Junk Bonanza?"

"Of course" she said, and she delivered just in time :)

Look at those details, I love the addition of the springs on the sides and the door pulls on each side.

This gal knows what she's doing when making purses. They don't just look good, they are fully functional. Look at the size of those pockets, and those lace details, I love it sooo much!!

Thanks Robelyn, I'll have the most stylish bag at the Bonanza

You owe it to yourself to pop over to her blog and view her Etsy store, she's got some great bags already made up, and soon the "Margo" bag will be available.

Everyone needs a little Red-neck Chic in their life.

I'm off to Minnesota

I love all of this....the drawer pull, the springs, the patterned fabric. I also love the name, "Redneck Chic". Who ever said a redneck didn't know anything about style?

No home is complete without one! RobUhLyn puts so many tiny details into her bags. They could literally be carried inside out they are so finished out. Even her tag is spectacular! You are gonna drive 'em crazy in Minn.!

I'm dying to know your "picky" requirements for a purse. I thought I was the most picky person alive when it comes to purses. Mine are:

ONE shoulder strap. Not too long, not too short. Adjustable okay. I hate when one strap stays on my shoulder and one hangs off.

Outside zipper pocket!

Outside open pocket! Opposite from zipper one.

Inside zipper pocket on the side, NOT in the middle!

Inside open pocket on the side, NOT in the middle. Opposite from the inside zipper pocket.

NOT too many sections. Too much confusion as to where something is.

NOT too deep. NOT too shallow.

Has to zip across the top for security. I've had two wallets stolen in grocery stores right out of my non-zipped purse. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me!

Can't be too heavy with nothing in it.

MUST be pretty.

And you thought you were picky!
It's a wonder I ever buy a purse at all.

Isn't she amazing!!! I have one of her bags too... from box spring material I tore apart! She truly is one of the most talented Rednecks I know!! Enjoy the purse and Bonanza! Wish I could be there, it's so close I can see it in the distance, but responsibility calls. :(
