A Thanksgiving Exercise for you

This is a yearly tradition here on Margo's Junkin' Journal

Challenge: List something you are thankful for, BUT it cannot be the usual stuff.
You cannot say family, kids, health, happiness or any of that stuff, we are all thankful for that.
You must think outside the box for this one. Think of all the stuff of life that makes it a better one for you.

My List:

The Wheel (think about it)
Air conditioning
The Phillips head screwdriver. If you've ever tried to get old flat head screws out you know why I'm thankful for the Phillips.
Modern household machines that make my life so much easier
Freedom
Creativity
Ice
Dates to the Movies with popcorn for dinner!
Everyone who donated or prayed for the Greyhound 28 that were rescued back in July. You can view their wonderful progress here

the list could go on and on

Let's see what great stuff you can come up with.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!

I am thankful for: a gas stove, indoor plumbing; creativity and talent, weathered wood, rust, and discarded furniture! Of course, the "normal" stuff means much more - well most days anyway!! Happy Thanksgiving and many Creative Blessings!

I'm thankful for rust...it adds to some much of the things we love, a furnace that works in this cold weather, and my down comforter that keeps me warm at night. Most of all, I'm thankful for all the blogs that inspire me everyday (okay so that may not be so out of the box). Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving!

Single edge razor blades.
Knives with snap-off blades.
Chocolate
Fireplace
Crushed ice
Rain against the windows
Free Priority boxes for shipping
Hot showers

That's all rather random...of course I am most thankful for all of the other things that we are not supposed to list. :)

Happy thanksgiving.

The indoor plumbing and toilet paper are good ones. I was 9 before we had indoor plumbing. But outside the box I am thankful when the last child in our class gets on the bus. They come, they learn (hopefully) and they go home. So far I have 45 people coming for dinner, it will be a blast, but I'll be thankful when they leave also. Look for my son in the Macys parade. He's playing Tuba in the all star band. Happy Thanksgiving

Great idea! I'm thankful for a clean house (finally), company that makes me clean my house, fall, tag sales, estate sales and super glue!

I'm thankful for: Saturday's (the only day of the week I don't cook), my hot glue gun, super glue, chippy-ness, history, Ralph Lauren's Glazes (or at least the recipes), velcro, imagination, creativity, garage sales, Goodwill, cheap-ness - lol, good blogs to keep me out of a funk, the ability to see things differently, open mindness, good food (the ability to cook/bake), my sense of humor and I have to say my friends/ family. WOW, I'm pretty damn thankful : )

I am so thankful for color! The Lord could have made this a black, white & gray world, but instead He created a whole rainbow for us to enjoy.
