On wednesday I had to see a lady about some junk, and boy was I not dissapointed. She had 2 out buildings, a garage, and a house full of great old stuff. Most of it was nicer antiques, but I did find some junky treasures mixed in.
I got this old top-less table and this great small shelf unit.

You all have to help me decide if I should paint this shelf or not.
here's a better pic.

I also picked up this great stick & ball trim piece

Then at a garage sale this morning I picked up this dresser and this wonderful old chalk board.

Last week I picked up this great old metal carrier, it was full of mostly plumbing parts but there were a few other treasures that were in there. It was $5.00 and I had to take it all.

As far as projects go, I'm making finials again, these were a big hit on ebay last spring/summer and I'm hoping they are again.

Now for all you northern climate-ers, Spring is springing here in NE Texas, and here are a few peaks at the early arrivals. Tyler is known for it's azaleas, and in a month they will be in full bloom all over town. In the mean time, I've got this group of early bloomers in my backyard. They greet me every February.

And the fringe flowers are ablaze

And what is this?

That is this summer's crop of Lantana, poking it's head up from it's winter sleep. I went out last week to cut all the dead stuff back and found it sprouting all over the place, so I just left it.
First Monday trades days is this weekend, but I'm not going. Gas is so expensive and I just don't NEED anything at this time, so I guess I'll sit this one out. For all of you going, have a great time. I'll try to post more often next week.
